Our Story

Founded in August 2024, Botyard Intelligence is a robotics startup dedicated to dexterous hands and advanced manipulation, co-founded by former Alibaba executives and top robotics professors.

High-DOF dexterous hands have long been one of the toughest challenges in robotics. Botyard approaches the problem with a model-driven, goal-oriented design philosophy, rethinking hardware and software from the ground up. Powered by a hybrid tendon-driven actuation system, Botyard has developed the world’s first product- level high-DOF dexterous hand, featuring the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class. Its force-controlled tendon actuation module fully resolves the long-standing issue of tendon creep.

In the field of dexterous hand modeling and control, we have built a full-stack technology framework covering kinematics, dynamics, and decision-making. By integrating classical control, deep reinforcement learning, and VLA, we have addressed the long-standing challenge of training high-DOF dexterous manipulation. Combined with Boyar’s self-developed hardware, this enables us to push dexterous manipulation to an entirely new level.
